this is not one of my best poems but I really like the Idea behind it so here it is and I hope you enjoy it.
To think that a world which in the eyes of a child sparkles like the sun
Could with hate and ignorance, in darkness come undone
To think that desire controls us like a puppet on strings
Or that it is fear rather than truth and justice that rings
To think that hate triumphs over acceptance
That we despise without repentance
To think that the world doesn’t have to be this way
That we do not have to wallow in shades of grey
To think that we have to but reach out a hand
To change the steps that follow in the sand
Come let us do away with hate
Let us see this desired fate
Come let us flood rivers with our tears
Let us witness change in the coming years
Come people of the earth, bring all you cares
Let us lift up our prayers
Come let us join and make the world be
The world that is what children see
